Thank you for your interest in Ruff-Spots’ Spay-Neuter Assistance Program. We are out of funds and will be suspending our program until further notice. No more applications are being accepted at this time.
Our website will display any further updates. If you need assistance with spaying or neutering your pet, please contact the St. John’s SPCA for information on their low income spay-neuter program.
SNAP-NL will meet the needs of our communities AND helps save lives…through prevention.
In November 2006, a volunteer with our organization decided to raise fund for Ruff-Spots by “shedding” her hair. She wanted these funds to be used towards a new program for helping pet owners have their pets spayed and neutered.
Two other people joined this volunteer and on February 17, 2007, they shed their hair and raised over $3800.00. From their dedication, and donations still coming in for support of this program, Ruff-Spots will be starting a new program called SNAP-NL. This program is a spay/neuter assistance program which will provide people with a low cost alternative to spaying and neutering their pet.
Pet overpopulation is a community problem and we hope our efforts will reduce the number of unwanted litters born in our province and to also help educate the public on the importance of “fixing” their pet.
You can help us to continue this much needed program by making an online donation through Canadahelps:
or to send your donation by mail.
